Hey it’s been a while! I just needed some time to come up with something worth posting!
So here it is, my FOTD (Face Of The Day). As a base I use Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation, it has a really good coverage and is a good match for my skin tone, also I find it doesn’t oxidise like most foundations so you don’t end up looking orange by the end of the day!
Next I put Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes in a sort of triangle shape and pat it in, I really like this concealer as it really is brightening and makes me look a bit more alive on a morning.
Then if my ‘blemishes’, that makes me laugh because lets be honest they’re just spots, need a bit more coverage I put some Seventeen Phwoarr Paint on the area and it soon sorts them out.
Then to stop a shiny T-zone, I put on a dusting of Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder. Followed by a quick contour along my jawline and forehead with Benefit Hoola bronzer, but be warned, if you’re a pasty gal like me you only need the tiniest amount on the brush.
After that I brush on some Seventeen Instant Glow onto the top of my cheeks, its a nice pale pink shimmery colour, I love the look of this highlighter as it looks quite natural and not at all ‘glitter ball-y’.
I use the little brush in the bottle of Benefit Benetint to put three strokes on each cheek, I then blend it in for a natural ‘rose-y tint’, it’s a good match for my fair skin tone but it does stain your fingers.
Next I comb through my brows and use an angled brush to gently apply some Seventeen Brows That powder to make my brows look a bit fuller. I also use a little bit of clear mascara to hold them in place, the one I’m currently using is from ASDA and is called The Tamer. Full brows are very important to me! 🙂
Then for a more everyday look I brush a little bit of MAC All That Glitters over my eye lids, I love this eye shadow, it’s a bit like the highlighter in that it’s quite shimmery but it’s also a perfect peachy-pink colour. It’s a nice wash of colour without having to make loads of effort. I then line my upper water line with Soap & Glory black Smoulder Kohl and draw a line of Seventeen Liquid Liner just above my lash line, I draw a flick in the corner aiming it towards the end of my brow, I then match the liner up. (And spend about 10 minutes trying to make it look the same on both eyes…)
I finish the look with a couple of strokes of MAC Upward Lash mascara, usually just on the top lashes but sometimes I put it on the bottom lashes too.
I hope all that wasn’t too boring!
