Estee Lauder Double Wear review and Current Face

This week I thought I’d share with you a makeup look I’ve been really liking recently. Apologies for the pic! I took it last week when I had a cold so that’s why I look a little red-nosed. *insert monkey covering its eyes emoji*

Also, last week I picked up a sample of Estee Lauder Double Wear so this is a bit of a review of that too.

Okay so this is the look, the key bits being a wash of my trusty Maybelline Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow in On and On Bronze and Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Chihuahua. I’m loving this dusty pink-nude colour and the formula is satin to matte without drying out your lips, my only issue is that it doesn’t have great lasting power and tends to only fade in the centre of the lips but thankfully because of the shade, this isn’t too noticeable. (Special mention goes out to my eyeliner in the second pic because I think that’s the most even its ever looked with my eyes closed.)

Another thing I’m loving at the moment is highlighter! You can’t see it much in the photo but I’ve slapped tonnes on my cheek to browbones area. I’ve mostly been using the highlighter from Sleek Face Form Kit in Fair and loving it.

And my star of the show is Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in 1W1 Bone, because I’m just that pale, so glad I picked this up! I love the formula; it’s easy to blend and has a buildable coverage. In the picture I haven’t built it up much which is why you can still see some of my blemishes but I wore it the next day and slathered it on and I didn’t even need to use concealer and it didn’t look cakey! It’s supposed to have 15-hour wear but I’d say it’s less than that, not that it really bothers me anyway, I’m not expecting to look flawless after a long day.

Tried anything new recently?

Lots of love

Liv x

      1. Unfortunately this foundation doesn’t work for my dry skin. It looks great for 10 minutes but then my dry patches start to come through and within half an hour I look like I’d slept with my make-up on. It’s a shame really.
