Evening my chai lovers!
This week I thought I’d bring you a DIY body scrub, I’ve seen a few recipes floating around on the blogosphere so I thought I’d give it a whirl.
You only need 4 ingredients for this scrub and they can be picked up pretty cheaply, definitely less than a fiver!
So here goes, you will need:
3 Dessert Spoons of Coconut Oil
3 Chai Tea Bags (They don’t have to be the fancy stuff, this is just what I had in my cupboard)
200g of Sugar
60g of Honey
First melt the coconut oil in jug.
Then rip open the tea bags and add them in, you can use as many or as few as you like, I love the smell of chai and the tea adds to the scrubby-ness.
Add the sugar.
And finally add the honey (honey makes a great moisturiser as well as coconut oil) and mix, the mixture may separate a little but that’s not a problem as you’ll be scooping it out when you use it.
Voila! Put the mixture in an old tub (this one used to have a Soap&Glory body scrub in it) screw the lid on and pop it in your shower, ready to use. Again the mixture may separate a little and the coconut oil may harden but it’ll soon warm up in your hands once you scoop some out.
I’ve used this scrub a few times since and I’m really loving the gritty-ness of the sugar, give it a try and tell me what you think.
Lots of Love
