I’m A Magpie

Hope you’re having a lovely day wherever you are in the world.

I thought I’d share with you some early Easter treats because unfortunately when you get older people stop giving you chocolate eggs, but I’m not complaining, I’d much rather have sparkly eye shadows instead, haha!

So let’s crack on!;)

First up is MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, now I’ve been drooling over this highlighter for years, it’s a blogger and YouTuber cult classic and I can see why! It’s such a finely milled powder and especially on lighter skin, it gives you that ‘lit from within’ glow. As you can see from the swatch is highly pigmented and the powder itself is so soft you need only to gentle brush it so get plenty of product.

Firstly these pictures do not do the Urban Decay Moondust Palette justice. But again I’ve been dreaming of this palette ever since it was released, what can I say, like the title of this post suggests, I am a magpie and a fiend for anything glittery! These shadows don’t seem to have the best pigmentation as you’ll see from the swatches but the glitter in them is insane and I’m a sucker for bright colours, it makes them a little more wearable for a night out and they’ll look amazing smoked out. Expect to see something featuring this palette in the future!

Excuse my chubby, blotchy arm. But this is the shadows in normal daylight. (Top to bottom- Specter, Element, Magnetic, Lightyear, Granite, Lithium, Vega, Galaxy)

And here are the shades in direct sunlight. (Top to bottom- Specter, Element, Magnetic, Lightyear, Granite, Lithium, Vega, Galaxy)

My personal favourite is Galaxy, a grey colour with a blue/turquoise glitter.

And that’s all folks! Keep your eyes (or your eggs 😉 ) peeled for future posts including either of these products and let me know if you’ve been experimenting with glitter recently.
