Haim Inspired Make Up Look

Hello my lovelies! What have you been up to this week?

I’ve become obsessed with Haim’s cover of ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ by Shania Twain, and have been listening to it on repeat. I love the cover and I’m just in awe of how cool and effortless the lovely Haim ladies look so I thought I’d steal their style.

Here’s the video!

This is the look I was going for, a sort of orange-y bronze toned eye and cheek with glowy skin and natural brows.

*Disclaimer* I am not a makeup artist I just tried to recreate what I saw

The products I used:

So I started off with just moisturised and primed skin, I then applied No7 Skin Illuminator to my cheeks and forehead for a little more glow. Next I used a sponge to apply Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation, I used Maybelline The Eraser Eye in the shape of triangles under my eyes and Seventeen Phwoarr Paint on Blemishes and extra coverage on my nose.

I’m an oily sod so I used Maybelline Matte Maker on my T-zone, Benefit Hoola Bronzer around my jawline, forehead, and across the bridge of my nose and cheeks for a little touch of colour.

For blush I used the Sleek Lace Palette, in particular, the shade Crochet (furthest on the left) and gently swept it across my cheeks, followed by Benefit Watts Up Highlighter on my cheek and brow bones.

I then lightly filled in my brows with Soap & Glory Archery Brow Putty in the shade Brownie Points, I then used the teensiest bit of Rimmel Brow This Way just to hold them in place. I made the eye shadow shade from a mixture of the blusher I used and Hoola Bronzer, applying it more heavily towards the lash line and then blending it out. For the final step I used one coat of Maybelline Lash Sensational on my top lash (none of them looked to be wearing mascara but it just feels wrong not to put some on).

Ta da! This was the final outcome 🙂

I really like this chilled effortless look, think I’ll be wearing it a little more often!
