Lime Crime Venus Palette Review

Hello my lovelies!

I thought I’d give you a review of my current favourite palette (well…still tied with the Naked 3), picked this little beauty up just before Christmas as I’d been dying to try anything Lime Crime and I’m a sucker for pink/orange/purple shades.

Firstly the packaging is just beautiful, it’s still only cardboard but the design on the front is beautiful, but I guess that’s expected though when it features the goddess of love and beauty. The mirror is also the perfect size, a lot of palettes seem to have small skinny mirrors that are pretty useless for doing your make up in.

The shadows themselves are ridiculously pigmented so be sure to use a light hand, the formula is also very soft without being chalky, however, I don’t think they’re the easiest to blend, so I’d recommend being quite careful with application and only apply a small amount at a time.

For a wintery daytime look, I like to use Divine all over the lid with Muse in the crease and outer corner.

(Prepare yourself for awkward selfies, literally just emptied my camera roll on here, I still haven’t worked out what to do with my face…even after 2 years of blogging lol)

For more of an evening look, I used Shell all over the lid with Rebirth in the crease, a combination of Muse and Venus to deepen the outer corner and a touch of Aura as an inner corner highlight. Finishing it off with winged liner 🙂

And then to up it a gear, I used NYX Liquid Suede in Vintage.

I hope you’ve enjoyed laughing at my face…oh and seeing some pretty eyeshadows!
